There are numerous government and organizational resources on physical activity and fitness. Here are a handful of sites with lots of useful tips and tools.

This website is an excellent starting point for information on exercise and physical activity from a curated lists of sites chosen by the National Library of Medicine. The featured links indicate if there is a Spanish language option, as well.

Geared towards older adults, the Go4Life website has a wealth of exercise videos, motivational tips, and other enticements to get people moving. Spanish language resources are also available.

The National Fitness Foundation inspires all Americans to accelerate their journey to living healthy. The site provides tips and motivation to get you moving, weekly planners provide specific food and exercise goals, and information on health for children.

The CDC website is dedicated to promoting American's health through regular physical activity and good nutrition. The site includes sample workouts, exercise videos, and success stories.

The City of Grand Junction offers a myriad of recreation opportunities. The Seasonal Activity Guide is a great place to check for organized sports offerings and exercise classes.

The Colorado Riverfront trail in Mesa County is a paved trail over 20 miles long. Located along the banks of the Colorado River for most of it's length, the trail has beautiful views of the river and ample opportunities to watch wildlife.
