Tax Forms at Mesa County Libraries

1/23/2023: The Central Library has 1040 instructional booklets as well as 1040 and 1040SR forms in English and Spanish. Please call your local branch to inquire about their supply.

During tax season, library catalog computers connected to a public copy machine will display a second tab that links to the IRS publications and forms page.  IRS forms and publications can be printed for .15 cents per side.

Grand Junction IRS Office

The Grand Junction IRS office is located in the Wayne Aspinall Federal Building at 400 Rood Avenue. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Closed for lunch 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Tax Assistance

Free Self-Filing Tax Assistance at Mesa County Libraries

Don’t Miss Out On Money Back! A certified tax volunteer will help you self-file your taxes online if your household earned less than $73,000 in 2022. This is an opportunity to get guidance and your questions answered on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t miss a chance to claim a tax refund that could give you tax money back!

AARP 2023 Free Tax Preparation in Grand Junction

In-person tax help appointments can be made starting 1/18/2023 by going online at or by phone at 970-589-3789 or 970-210-5705. Appointments are required and will be observed Monday through Saturday from 2/1/2023 through 4/15/2023.
